階段状に広がる閑静な住宅地の中にあり、南に街並みを一望する高台に立地している。周囲には畑や公園などの緑地もあり、校内にはその風景と連続するよう、子供たちが日々学び、遊ぶための場所が立体的に積層する。内部には4つの光庭を設け、南北に抜ける廊下と繋がり自然の換気ルートを作ることで、空調設備に頼ることなく、自然通風を十分確保し、ガラス面が受ける日射量を軽減する深い庇や緑のカーテン、教材としても活かせる太陽光発電、雨水利用など様々な環境負荷軽減への取組みも採用している。さらに、地域施設として必要な安全性能を満たすだけでなく、将来の学習形態の変化や用途変更にも容易に対応できるようＰＣ造を採用し、大スパンを飛ばすことで無駄な柱や壁を最小限に抑え、災害にも強く柔軟性にも優れた建物を実現している。
This school is located in a stepped residential area and be able
to get a townacape view in the southern side. Four court yards
and corridoies are connected and making a natural wind
ventilation road. Eaves and green curtains protect from the
sun light and solar power generation and rainwater utilization
system are set up. In additon, we use PC structure for this
duilding and can reduce a number of columns and walls to get
a flexibility for the future planning
